ME!

Mike was raised 30 miles north of Philadelphia on a steady diet of ice hockey and cheesesteaks.

As a young teen,  an unlikely friendship introduced him to an even more unlikely passion for a kid from PA; surfing and the ocean.

Attending Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, Mike set out on the path to transform the world of surf photography into a more meaningful job than just taking photos of pro surfers.  By focusing on the lifestyle as much as the action, he began to create an own-able style that attracted interest from brands outside the action sports community, and Mike’s commercial career began.

Fast-forward 10 years, Mike has been fortunate enough to collaborate as a photographer and director on lifestyle shoots with brands such as Nike, Skechers, Intuit, CALM, Unilever, Ripcurl, Califia Farms, and The Gap, to name a few.  When not on set or planning his next shoot, you can find Mike in the ocean, playing golf, working in his garden, or photographing rescue dogs for his on-going personal project, @RescuesofLosAngeles.

Mike has always loved animals and had dreams of being a veterinarian before falling in love with photography.  A vegetarian since 2012, Mike is extremely passionate about the planet, namely the welfare of animals and the worlds broken food system.
